Ditchling Fair
Ditchling Fair is like no other. A whole day of fun and celebration for everyone.
Tye next Ditchling Fair will take place on 20 June 2026. Mark your diaries!
The fair’s origins date back to 1312 and it continues today, going from strength to strength. Starting with the Ditchling Wizard’s wake up call at dawn to dancing on the green late into the evening, the fair is a jam-packed full day of fun and celebration of village life.
There’s a maypole dance, the Jack and Jill Race, Morris dancing and egg-tossing. There’s so much to be involved with from the scarecrow competition, the dog show to the procession or you can simply come and enjoy some of the delicious local food and watch it all go on. It’s a fair like no other!
If you’d like to be involved in the next Ditchling Fair, we are always looking for volunteers.
