The Monday Group is proud to announce that we have been awarded the King's Award for Voluntary Service. This Award recognises outstanding work by local volunteer groups to benefit their communities. It was created in 2002 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth Il's Golden Jubilee and, following his accession, His The King's Award Majesty The King emphasised his desire to for Voluntary Service continue the Award.

This is the highest award a local voluntary group can revive in the UK and is equivalent to an MBE. The Monday Group is one of 262 local charities, social enterprises and voluntary groups from across the UK and Channel Islands to receive the prestigious award this year. Their work, along with others from across the UK, demonstrates all the ways fantastic volunteers are contributing to their local communities and working to make life better for those around
them. This is a significant and lasting recognition of the impact the Group makes to the local area and builds on the already considerable, and much appreciated, support we continue to enjoy from our local communities and other organisations
