We had an exciting and inspiring visit from Zaire Taylor from the Worthing Thunder basketball team yesterday! He came to talk to the children about how bullying can affect others and why it’s wrong.
Throughout February the team wore a special kit. Instead of the players having their names on their backs which is the norm, they exchanged this for names they were called in school.
For instance, Ishmael Fontaine was teased about his lips for the duration of his school experience and had ‘Rubber Lips’ on the back of his jersey instead of Fontaine.
The team did this to raise awareness and help galvanise people into being kinder to one another.
