Bernadina Lloyd

Bernadina Lloyd

Having originally studied at the London College of Printing and Goldsmith's College, Bernadina taught Art and Design for 15 years from GSCE to degree and post-graduate level. Her work has sold in the UK at shops and galleries including Liberty, the South Bank Centre and Leeds Craft and Design Gallery, and in Sweden, Germany, France, New York and San Francisco. Bernadina is a regular member of the (in)famous Grey Ladies life-drawing group.

Bernadina leads drawing sessions for adults and young people at her studio in Ditchling or (in warm weather) at nearby places of interest, with emphasis strongly placed on direct observation and working with a variety of drawing materials.

The sessions are suitable for all abilities, from beginner to GCSE, A-level and degree, and include both formal taught classes and informal practice sessions, with support for individual projects, portfolio development and coursework. Teaching is tailored as far as possible to address each student's individual requirements, and numbers are strictly limited.

Bernadina is also available to take commissions to make drawings of you or your loved ones. All portraits are made from life, requiring up to two sittings.
