Attic Club

Attic Club

A group of around thirty professional and semi-professional artists established more than 70 years ago, as its name suggest, in an attic in Ditchling. Founded by a talented artist, Margaret Milnes of Ditchling Gallery and continued by her daughters, Jennifer Milnes Mathur and Ann Raby, (current member),it was a fundamental part of the village artistic heritage.   Membership has been widened  to include artists from across East and West Sussex and includes 3D artists.

Two prestigious  exhibitions of members’ work per year are held  in Spring and Autumn, the first in  Ditchling Village Hall and the second at a variable local location.  These exhibitions provide the opportunity of purchasing high quality original works direct from artists  at approximaately  between 20%&40% below gallery high street prices. Unframed prints and cards are also on sale.
