Footpaths Conservation Society

The Footpaths Conservation Society has been protecting the footpaths and bridleways that crisscross the parishes of Ditchling, Westmeston and Streat for over 60 years. These old trackways and drove routes have linked the parishes and farms since before the turnpike system and have been kept open by centuries of boots and hooves and more recently, the work of the Society and its members. Working groups regularly clear and mantain paths and others have tirelessly campaigned to keep these paths open. If you would like to hear more bout our work contact:
